An Unusual Hotel Greeter
I was greeted by this female Peregrine Falcon nested on a ledge outside my hotel window in Silver Springs, Maryland, sitting on 4 eggs. I was lucky to get an out of focus, fast shot of the male giving her a recently caught pigeon. Bringing her dinner so she could go back to sit on the nest. Also a photograph of the 4 eggs and the male on the hotel sign across from my room.
So cool and certainly proves that nature is all around us, even in big cities. To learn more about these awesome birds go to allaboutbirds.org, The Cornell Lab of Ornithology. Happy Landsnorkeling!
